Custom Patches With No Backing Applied

This is a finished patch with nothing applied to the reverse. The face is made and the edge is finished exactly as it would be on any other order. What is missing is the heat film, the hook face, the hardware or the adhesive layer, because you are going to handle attachment yourself.

Three kinds of buyer want this. Manufacturers sewing patches into a garment during construction, where a backing would sit in the seam and get in the way. Resellers who prefer to apply their own attachment or let their own customer choose. And makers who sew everything by hand and would rather not pay for a layer they will not use. In each case the patch is a component rather than a finished consumer item.

The reverse is not a designed surface. What it looks like depends entirely on the construction: a stitched patch shows the back of its stitching, a molded patch shows the back of the mold, and a woven patch shows the reverse of the weave. If the back will be visible in your finished product, ask us what to expect for the material you have chosen rather than assuming.
