Custom Embroidered Patches, Stitched in the USA

An embroidered patch is thread stitched onto a twill base, and it is the construction most people picture when they say patch. It suits bold logos, lettering with weight behind it and any design that should read across a room rather than in the hand. We make them in-house in the United States with no minimum order, so a single jacket piece and a thousand-piece uniform run are both real orders.

The reason embroidery looks the way it does is that every color is a separate pass of thread laid down in a planned direction. That gives the surface its texture and its slight relief, and it is also what sets the limits. Fine serifs, hairline rules and gradients have to be redrawn before they can be sewn, because a stitch cannot be thinner than the thread making it. We digitize the artwork by hand, and where the construction calls for it we run a test sewout before the full run.

Send whatever artwork you have, including a sketch or a phone photo. We redraw it, show you a digital proof with the size, colors, border and backing marked, and make nothing until you approve it. If the design leans on small type, say so early, because that is the decision that most often moves an order toward a different construction.
