Layer count is the decision that shapes a twill order. One layer gives a clean single-color number, two adds an outline, and three adds a second outline for more depth. Each layer adds weight and stiffness, so three layers suit heavier jerseys while lightweight performance fabrics often do better with one or two.
Height is set across the roster. Back numbers, front numbers and names each get one height for every jersey, chosen against the smallest jersey size in the order so everything fits. Send the size breakdown with the roster, and we lay out the widest number and the longest name first.
