Custom memorial patches are made to remember one person. A department orders them after a line-of-duty death, a club adds a rocker to a vest, a team wears a piece for a season, a family has a few made for the people closest to them. The quantity is usually small and the piece almost always has to sit beside something that already exists.
That makes matching the main technical job. A memorial patch worn next to a department shield, a club back set or a team crest has to agree with it in color, border finish and lettering, or it reads as borrowed. Send a photograph of what it will sit beside, and we match to that rather than to a description of it.
The wording is the part worth slowing down on. Names, dates, ranks and a line of text all have to be exactly right, and they are the one thing nobody wants to see corrected later. We show every word on the proof before anything is made, and we will ask about spelling rather than assume.
Everything else is an ordinary order. Small runs are normal here, artwork can be a sketch or a photograph, and we will tell you plainly what the design can hold at the size you want. Tell us the date the pieces are needed for and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable.

Fire Department Patches to Match a Department Tribute
A department piece carrying a name, a badge or unit number and dates, worn by a whole shift or department. It has to agree with the shield already on the uniform, so send that artwork with the request. Departments often order a mourning band version alongside it, and both are laid out together so the set matches.

Motorcycle Patches to Plan Memorial Vest Sets
A rocker or a center piece added to a vest in memory of a member, matched to the set already worn. Because the existing pieces were made at a different time, we match from a photograph of the actual vest rather than from the original artwork. Jersey Patches to Place Team Tributes
A small piece worn on a jersey or a sleeve for a season, usually with initials, a number or a short line of text. It has to survive team laundering and sit within league rules about what a uniform may carry, which is your call to confirm. The jersey page covers placement and fabric.

Veteran Patches for Unit Anniversaries
Pieces marking a unit or association anniversary rather than a loss, often reproducing an older formation emblem with a year added. Where the new piece has to sit beside something made years ago by someone else, the job starts with recovering that artwork. Send clear photographs and we redraw what is needed to match colors, lettering and edge finish. You approve the redraw before the memorial piece is produced. Proof where every word is checked
There is one number that matters on a memorial order and it is the single proof where every word is checked. Names, dates, ranks and any line of text are shown exactly as they will be stitched, because this is the one order where a correction afterwards is not really a correction at all.
Size follows the garment and the pieces already on it. A rocker matches the set on a vest, a department piece matches the shield on a sleeve, a team piece fits the space a league allows. Send a photograph of the garment with a measurement, and we lay the new piece out against what is there.
For the traditional look that matches most existing patches, choose stitched memorial pieces. Where the design carries a photograph or fine shading, choose printed detail for a photographic design.
